Release date for the Call for Writings and Artwork for Women's  
Perspectives #5 (http://www.litwomen.org/perspectives.html). This  
year's theme is: "What Would You Do? Creative Ideas for Difficult  
Times." Pre-writing activities, lesson plans, and a toolkit for  
teachers on way to integrate Women's Perspectives across the  
curriculum will also be available.

September 30 (Wed.)
DEADLINE for proposals for writings to our new collection of writings,  
Our Stories, OurSelves: The EmBODYment of Women's Learning. For

Chicago IL -- Regional Organizing for Building the WE LEARN  
Network......................
An enthusiastic group of WE LEARN members in the Chicago-area are  
currently organizing a regional
group. They plan to sponsor a one-day event sometime in either late-

) if you're interested in receiving more details about this promising  
gathering. The ultimate goal is to create a strong base of regional  
support for the 2011 WE LEARN (Net)Working Gathering in Chicago. Keep

Boston MA area..........................
Oct. 3: Training for community facilitators for Women
Leading Through Reading/Writing Circles. (Circles will begin in early  
October to read past issues of Women's Perspectives).

Oct. 21: WE LEARN presents at MCAE Network Conference
to train teachers how to use the Toolkit of materials to prepare for  
Women's Perspectives (http://www.litwomen.org/perspectives.html)

Oct. 28: Daylong (10:00 - 2:30) Writing Seminar with training by  
Louise Dunlap (author of Undoing the Silence) to support and develop  
writing and peer editing. This event is intended for students and  
teachers/tutors.

Nov. - Dec.: Women Leading Through Reading/Writing Circles continue to  
meet weekly.
