Books for Wider Horizons, the volunteer story reading program of Oakland
Public Library, is looking for committed adults who have an interest in
children's literature and enjoy reading to children. Volunteers will
receive a free training series in the art of storyreading led by Gay
Ducey, a children's librarian and nationally renowned storyteller.
All trainings take place at the Rockridge Branch Library, 5366 College
Avenue in Oakland, CA. Dates and times are listed below. If you are
interested in learning more about this rewarding volunteer opportunity
or if you would like to register for the training, please call Kris
Waller at (510) 238-7453.
TRAINING DATES: Volunteers should attend all dates.
Saturday October 17 9-11:30 AM Rockridge Branch
