Understanding how emotions impact learning is the first step, but once
participants in a family literacy program are in the midst of an emotional
crisis how can we help them get back on track?

In the upcoming October 19th NAASLN webinar, Emotions Impact Learning Part
II, you will learn how to implement specific techniques to immediately
help these learners struggling with crisis situations and old baggage. You
will learn how to help them get beyond their current emotional situation and
back on track toward achieving their stated learning and employment goals!

Emotions Impact Learning!
Part II Techniques to Address Emotional Issues of Adult Learners
October 19 - 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. ET

Participants will learn how to implement specific techniques to
immediately help learners struggling with crisis situations and old baggage get
beyond their current emotional situation and get back on track toward achieving
their stated learning and employment goals!

This session will present four key techniques to use in addressing current
emotional crisis situations, helping students to discuss their emotions
about learning, establishing a mindset for fulfilling strengths-based
intentions, and empowering students to learn how they can be helpful with their
peers.

the September 14 live session of Part I, you can purchase and watch the
archived video as often as you want and be ready for Dr. Weisel's October 19

Emotions Impact Learning! Part l and ll – An Overview

Do the students in your program move out of one emotional crisis and into
another? Do they begin your program with great gusto and then drop out?
Do students often forget information they just learned last week?

Part I, The Neurological Underpinnings of Emotions,
Archived Video available

Part I offers an understanding of how and why emotions are brain functions
that are both core and key to learning, why childhood negative educational
experiences continue to impact adult learning, and why unaddressed
emotional issues will impact learning.
