I will miss the list. Surely NIFL has resource collections on early learning; ELL learning; adult education learning - all which are a part of family literacy. Is it better to have fragmented discussions about the problem or a list serve that is generalist in nature where the pieces of literacy and who is affected are collectively reviewed?

Thanks to those of you who have sent special messages about the closing of the Family Literacy Discussion List. Your sentiments are appreciated.
You will not need to unsubscribe—everyone will be unsubscribed after today. I believe past discussions will continue to be archived, at http://www.nifl.gov/lincs/discussions/list_archives.html at least through the next year.
The elimination of the Family Literacy Discussion list came about as a direct result of NIFL’s realignment of the lists to its Resource collections. The Family Literacy list did not align with any of the resource collections; therefore we were eliminated from this venue.
Perhaps we will meet on another playing field. Keep up the good work you are doing for families.
