All your points are valid. It would have been better if I had said, "we  have 
no idea of the relative value of photonovelas if they are just handout out"  
rather than saying they are relatively ineffective if they are just handed 
out.  One just doesn't know if they are effective or not.  
 
The comment was based on my experience developing comics and a few  
photonovelas for Big Pharma in one of my prior lives. They  always handed them out 
without assessing their effectiveness.  
 
"Passing around" photonovelas is definitely a common practice among  Latinos, 
which implies some degree of effectiveness, but with no learned  behavior or 
outcome measures, we continue to have no information (that I  know of) of 
their value vs their cost in the overall learning  process. 
 
This said, although I have not read all of the postings on  this subject due 
to other commitments, I am glad to see the high interest  in photonovelas. We 
just need more Facts.
