Hi Jennifer,
The folks at the Literacy Assistance Center have done a fantastic job
with this type of work. Check out their website to see more about their
work, and good luck with yours!

Hello,
I am a volunteer physician at a large adult and family literacy program.
We
are in the process of setting up a pilot with a local medical center to
have
our adult literacy teachers and learners field test patient ed materials
and
give feedback to their patient ed department. I would be very
interested in
the details of how other hospitals have gone about this. I remember
hearing
about a group in NYC that was doing this when I attended a Wisconsin
Literacy conference, but do not have any details.
Thank you,
Jennifer Rho, MD, MPH
